Privacy

Without an account. Your progress — which characters you have answered, how often you missed them, and when each one is due — is stored in your browser's local storage on this device. It is not sent anywhere.

With an account. If you create an account, the same progress is also written to a hosted database so it can follow you between devices. Access is restricted at the database level to the account that owns the rows. Signing out returns you to browser-only storage without deleting what was already synced.

What is not collected. There is no advertising or third-party tracking script on the site, and no analytics profile of individual learners. The only personal data held is the email address you sign up with, used solely to sign you in.

Clearing it. You can erase local progress yourself with the reset control on the kana grid, or by clearing site data in your browser. To have synced data deleted, ask through the contact page.
